CARVINGS

Wooden carvings can be designed and painted with the carving being done by other specialists. Existing carvings in wood or stone can be painted and gilded.

 

The arms and motto of Baroness Boothroyd carved by Bellhouse Restorations of London to my drawing, then painted and gilded by me. This carving was about 4 inches high but any size can be considered.A carved escutcheon in a Dorset church, restored, over a monument.The Scottish arms of Speaker Martin on an early Victorian wall panel designed by Pugin. The name plate follows the design of the many wall panels prior to this, the rather unusual calligraphy was copied closely from the work of the Lion Court artist at the Speaker’s request, while the treatment of the charges and shield are very much my own. As seen in The Times, 24th July 2004.
